Ms. Simonson completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison College at Michigan State University, where she obtained a dual degree in Political Theory and Social Relations. In 2005, she completed her Juris Doctor Degree, cum laude, at California Western School of Law. While in law school, Ms. Simonson received an Academic Merit Tuition Scholarship, served as an Associate Writer and Editor of the California Western Law Review and International Law Journal, was a member of the Moot Court Honors Board and Women's Law Caucus, and participated in the William and Mary School of Law Summer Study Abroad program in Madrid, Spain. Ms. Simonson was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Southern District of California February, 2006. She is an associate in the American Inns of Court, William B. Enright Chapter, and is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association. Ms. Simonson practices in the area of civil litigation, including the representation of one of the largest shopping mall conglomerates in the United States in various tort-related litigation. She also has experience in counseling clients on proper risk management documentation and retention.
