Ms. Duty completed her undergraduate degree at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development. While in college, Ms. Duty studied for a semester at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was a member of the collegiate crew team. Ms. Duty went on to receive her Juris Doctor Degree from Southwestern School of Law in 2006. During law school, Ms. Duty was a Notes and Comments Editor for the Southwestern Law Review and authored "UNSPEAKABLE: Crawford and Its Effects on Victims of Child Abuse," which was published in Southwestern Law Review. Ms. Duty also served as a member of the Tulane Sports Law moot court team and was a recipient of the Dean's Merit Scholarship. She was admitted to the Sate Bar of California in 2006 and the Central and Southern Districts of the United States District Court. Ms. Duty is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and San Diego Defense Lawyers. She practices in the area of legal malpractice defense and general civil litigation.
