Mr. Brubaker completed his undergraduate work at the University of California at Riverside, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree with high honors in 1973. He obtained his Juris Doctor Degree at the University of San Diego School of Law in 1976. Mr. Brubaker is a former President (1982) of the San Diego Barristers Club, served as Vice-President of the San Diego County Bar Association and on the Board of the San Diego County Bar Foundation. He is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association. Mr. Brubaker has served on the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy and the San Diego Inns of Court. He is a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers, is a Past President of the San Diego Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates and currently serves as President-Elect of CAL-ABOTA. He has been a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the Association of Business Trial Lawyers of San Diego, and the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association, serving in the past as a Director of that organization. He is a Senior Master in the American Inns of Court, Louis M. Welsh Chapter. Mr. Brubaker has served for 22 years and is currently Chairman of the Board of Visitors for the University of San Diego School of Law. He is a former President of the Law Alumni Association. In 2004, he was honored as the Distinguished Alumnus of the Year by the University of San Diego School of Law. Mr. Brubaker has been included in The Best Lawyers in America since 1995. He practices in the area of general civil litigation, including business disputes, intellectual property products liability, employment and trusts and estate matters.
